[Workaround] Security issues

Normally I wanted to come back with logs and proofs of the road-warrior stuff that does not work. However, while collecting these logs I found out the error and fixed it - actually it just was a wrong setting in the email client.
So again I just can praise this howto, nice style and it just works!
Anyway. The only issue that annoys me is the clear-text password in the database. Isn't it a high security risk? And even if not - I do not want an email-account at a provider that is able to have a look at my password in plaintext. Isn't it possible to at least store a md5 encrypted string of the password in the database?
Best regards, Dani
