What is your DNS name resolving to? To the IP address of your ethernet 
interface? Did you add your local network (e.g. 10.0.0.0/24) to 
the "mynetworks" definition in the main.cf?

Could be connected to TLS and security settings. Debugging Outlook is a 
pain. Perhaps someone else can jump in here and speak of experience. But 
you could start by setting "disable_plaintext_auth = no" in your 
dovecot.conf and see if that's a problem.
